Today...

6 years ago today mom went to be with her savior.
I miss her so much.

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!”

“Gone where?”

Gone from my sight. That is all.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says:

“There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:

“Here she comes!”

And that is dying.

A Little Late Birthday Post

I'm a little late on this one but thought I would go ahead and post it anyway seeing that there IS someone out there actually reading this thing.

It was dear hubby's 47th. birthday a couple weeks back and there was only the pups and the old lady there to celebrate it with him. I had to work a double shift and so I didn't get to see him until later on that night but I did try to make it somewhat special for him. The dogs got him this cute t-shirt and hat (yeah....they saved up all their allowance money just for daddy's gift!) and hat and I bought him a leather wallet and a generouse gift card for Dicks Sporting Good. Now had I know ahead of time, I would have gotten him a gift card for Cabella's since we will be going there when we go to Wisc. Anyway..... I also tried my hand at a "Candy Topiary" I seen made on Martha Stewart one day. It didn't turn out the way Martha's did but he loved it nontheless. Anything to do with candy-he loves!

Such a Beautiful Day for the Outdoors!

So it was such a beautiful day that we spent much of it outside enjoying the sunshine. Instead of me writing about all that we done , I'll say it all here with photos and save me the hassel. That Corona Beer? Yeah. That's what I was doing.

Should I Or Shouldn't I?
